For over 30 years, Mainstay DRP has been part of the Downpatrick community — beginning in the early 1990s as the Down Residential Project, offering meaningful residential support to people with learning disabilities.
What started with a few committed people and a big idea has grown into a charity with over 130 dedicated staff supporting around 200 individuals every year. While our name has changed, our mission has never wavered:
