A Little Extra Time Can Make All the Difference

For many people, a haircut is just another appointment in the diary. But for some, it can feel overwhelming.

The buzz of the clippers, the feel of loose hair on their skin, sitting in an unfamiliar chair, or not knowing what will happen next can all create anxiety.

At Silent Cuts, we take the time to understand what each person needs to feel comfortable.

That might mean visiting the salon beforehand, meeting the stylist, exploring the space, or seeing the equipment before a haircut takes place. It could mean taking breaks, covering mirrors, reducing noise, or simply moving at a pace that feels right for them. There is no pressure and no expectation to do everything at once.

Sometimes, someone needs the salon to themselves, with fewer people, fewer distractions and more privacy. For them and their family, knowing they have the time and space they need can make all the difference.

Providing this extra support takes additional time, and often means we can’t offer another appointment during that period. But we don’t believe people should pay significantly more simply because they need a little extra time or a different approach.
